Seventy-seven thousand years ago
Bakunawa rises from Her deep sleep
And hovers the night sky
To wander the Great Four Seas.
On Her flight She discovers that the lands,
Barren and lifeless, receive no radiance
From Sol, Giver of Light; thus, She concludes
The seven moon eclipse the Firmament
And proceeds to eat them one by one.
Wild currents of the infinite ocean and
Howls of earthquakes cease when only Luna,
with Her tamed gleam
Reflects on Bakunawa's scales.
The sirens hum a secret melody
Calling on with harmony
In its azure tides where corals
Blink like gemstones sunlit in the day
With creatures of sea and pearls and
The tail of the serpent Goddess
Once more asleep in Her cave
The Amarians live with prosperity
Grateful forever and always.
