Is the clear streams of a brook,

Emerging into a old, big oak in the middle of a clearing

Resting beneath a family of deer and rabbits

Emerald earrings swinging from dainty, small ears

Wavellite heavy on the bodice of her long gown

Epidote settles on her thin wrist 

Lizardite on her small ankles

Red realgar against rubies on her midnight hair

Pardon mine blunder for which I have sinned

End mine misery for thy child suffers

In this torture creatures of this land put me through

Violet plucks a blue violet in the fields of a little town called

Evergreen where fields of flowers run the hills and line the dirt roads

Nearby houses a mile away from each other, yet 

Timely gathering for the harvest makes their hearts nearer to each other

I am at a crossroad

The intersection of my young life

My heart tells me to walk in a direction

Opposite from my mind's

There is a fork in front of me

Options I never thought I had

A steady, wide, and colorful path;

A narrow, obstacle-ridden bridge

There are four Cardinal Directions:

North, South, East, and West

But why do the heavy waves of the ocean

Push me against and in-between

I have the stars guiding me

And an old compass, too

In this boat ride of life

I hope I find my own island.
