Great numbers stand taller and bigger

None shall be afraid of the enemy

Present yourself in battle

Override the fear and

Saturate yourself in courage

Every harmonies along the way

Reminds me our lives together

Remembers soft touches of your hand in mine

You never let it go

Come three winters later

And you said your goodbye, as you turned your back

Safely tucked away from eyes flaming with anger
Carefully hidden from hands ready for punching

Are we tired of the same heartache?

Freedom seemed so far and gone

For someone like us

Or should I cry and scream

Looking for help that may not come

Dilly-dallying underneath the oppressive shadow

In the hours of the dark night

Never again see the blinding light

Giving us up to the ones above
